José Ignacio Rejas Fernández (Madrid, 1985) is an architect based in Madrid, with professional experience in Germany, Chile and Spain.
He studied in Madrid (ETSAM) and Berlin (TU) and worked in offices like Ensamble Studio, Topotek 1, Francisco Izquierdo & Claudio Tapia Arquitectos, CTRL+X or Totem Arquitectos, where he could deepen into urbanism, construction, interior design, modelling and landscape architecture.
He was mostly involved in projects concerning educational facilities -like school expansions, student residences or universities-, reconditioning existent buildings and housing -private and public-, as well as open space projects and neighbourhood masterplans. He is currently focused in small scale constructions, renovations and research projects, exploring new ways of design communication.
His field of interests go around the whole architectural process, not only its practical side but also the theoretical approach. His research mainly studies the physical and digital double point of view the architecture is facing nowadays, with a strong technological and social perspective.
