La última edición del concurso Europan 13 se centraba nuevamente en torno a la idea de la ciudad adaptable, como tema principal que enfrentan las ciudades del siglo XXI.
Entre sus puntos fundamentales se destacaban tres:
·El estado del bienestar vs auto organización
· Segregación vs compartir
· Objeto vs proyecto (proceso)
Dentro de las diferentes propuestas de cada ciudad, optamos por la de la ciudad noruega de Bergen. La ciudad plantea un asunto bien concreto en cuanto a situación y programa. En una zona inndustrial junto al lago se pide plantear soluciones habitacionales innovadoras para construir un barrio integrado y atractivo dentro de la ciudad existente. Proponemos una serie de edificios que integran diferentes tipologías de vivienda y de uso, tanto productivo como recreacional. Todo dentro de una línea temporal definida y que va desarrollando el proyecto a medida que se van teniendo más necesidades. Se crea un barrio conectado a las zonas circundantes y al lago, haciendo un lugar con alto valor añadido dentro de la ciudad.
The last edition of the Europan 13 competition was focused again around the idea of the adaptable city, as the main issue that the cities are facing in the 21st century.
Among the key themes there were highlighted three of them:
· Welfare state vs auto organization
· Segregation vs sharing
· Object vs project (process)
Inside all the proposal by each town around Europe, we decided to choose the Norwegian city of Bergen. The city suggests a very specific issue in terms of situation and program. At an industrial zone next to the lake, innovative residential solutions must be proposed, to build an integrated and attractive neighbourhood inside the existing city.
We proposed a series of buildings which compound different residential typologies and other kinds of uses, such as productive or leisure sectors. Everything inside a defined time line, developing the project along the time according to the actual needs. A well connected neighbourhood is created with the surroundings and the lake, makinf it a place with a high value within the city.
